The Department is responsible for Treatment Planning of all cancer patients treated with Radiation Therapy. The routine work includes conventional, conformal, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy, RapidArc treatment planning as well as LDR/HDR Brachytherapy planning. Cancer Institute is the first centre in the country to install and upgrade to RapidArc Technology on 22 January 2009.Recently TRUEBEAM unit was installed and FFF option is under AERB approval.
